Consistent service, reliable choice

This was my third time using GreenCloud, this time for a Budget Windows VPS. As always, the service was reliable and activation was smooth, pretty much instant after payment this time around which was great. My previous Linux VPS orders were also stable. I appreciate the consistency. The prices are competitive, though sometimes I wish there were more diverse OS template options for the Windows offerings. Still, it's my go-to for quick and dependable VPS deployments. No real surprises, which is exactly what I want from a hosting provider.

Good VPS, slow setup

I ordered an NVMe Linux VPS from GreenCloud last week. The performance has been solid for my small dev projects, no complaints there. Setup took a bit longer than I expected though, about two hours for activation after payment. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. Customer service responded quickly when I asked for an update.

Amazing KVM VPS!

Got a Ryzen KVM VPS and it's been fantastic! Super fast, really responsive, and exactly what I needed for my game server hosting. Setup was quick, maybe 20 minutes, and everything worked right out of the box. I'll definitely be back for more services when I need them. GreenCloud is awesome!

Anyone tried using GreenCloud for Forex trading? Looking for a reliable remote desktop VPS with low latency.

K KavyaM 9 hours ago ✓ Best Answer
I'm using their Forex VPS. It's stable for MT4/MT5. Just make sure to pick a datacenter close to your broker's servers.

T TarunJ 7 hours ago
Good point about the datacenter. Which one are you using?

K KavyaM 7 hours ago
London for me, works well with my broker.

I heard their USA VPS is pretty decent for it, especially if you get one with dedicated CPU. Avoid the budget ones if you need serious performance.
10
P PankajS 5 hours ago
Agreed, don't skimp on CPU for trading.
8
T TarunJ 5 hours ago
Yeah, dedicated CPU makes sense for trading algos.

Not sure about Forex specifically, but their Remote Desktop VPS plans are generally solid. I use one for development and it's responsive.

Following this, also considering them for a trading VPS.

That's good to know, responsiveness is key.

My NVMe Linux VPS speeds aren't what I expected, especially after seeing some reviews. Anyone else notice this or is it just my config?

D DeepakG 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
I'm on the USA VPS, NVMe, and speeds are consistently good for me. What kind of tasks are you running? Maybe it's specific workload related.

R RahulK 1 month ago
Mostly web hosting with some database work. Nothing too crazy.

R RahulK 1 month ago
Good point. I'll check the I/O.

S SnehaR 1 month ago
Did you check your I/O stats?
1
P PriyaS 1 month ago
Mine was pretty fast initially, but I did notice a dip after a couple of months. Not huge, but measurable. Might depend on the datacenter location too.

Which location are you using?

Could be network congestion maybe?

I moved from a Budget Windows VPS to an NVMe Linux one and the difference was night and day for me. No complaints on speed at all.

Yeah, apples and oranges almost.

Just got charged for my GreenCloud renewal and the price was higher than last year. Is this normal? I thought I had a recurring discount.

S SanjayP 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
A lot of their initial discounts are only for the first billing cycle. Check the terms of your original coupon. Happened to me once.

N NehaM 2 weeks ago
Ah, that makes sense. I probably missed that fine print.
7
A ArtiJ 2 weeks ago
Yeah, most providers do that now.

K KaranL 2 weeks ago
You should open a ticket with support. Sometimes they can apply a new discount or match an existing one if you ask nicely. Worth a shot.
5
R RaviK 2 weeks ago
They were pretty good for me last time.

N NehaM 2 weeks ago
I will try that. Thanks for the tip!

My renewal for a Windows VPS was also a bit higher, but not by much. I just assumed prices went up across the board for everyone.

Following to see what support says.

Could be general price increase too.

Finally switched from my old VPS provider to GreenCloud's Ryzen KVM. Activation was super fast, like under 5 minutes. Speeds feel snappier too. Hope it stays this way.

S SnehaR 3 weeks ago
I'm still stuck on a Budget Windows VPS with them. Thinking of upgrading to NVMe Windows. Is the speed difference really noticeable for everyday tasks?
9
R Rajat89 3 weeks ago
Definitely. Especially if you're running anything I/O heavy.

D Deepak91 3 weeks ago
For Windows, NVMe is a game changer. Worth it.

Glad to hear that! I've been eyeing their Ryzen KVM plans for a while. Which location did you pick?

Went with USA, specifically New York. So far so good.

A AnkitK 3 weeks ago
Yeah, their activation is usually quick. I got my Linux VPS running in like 3 mins a few months back. What were you using before?
10
R Rajat89 3 weeks ago
Was on a shared host actually, totally different league haha.

A AnkitK 3 weeks ago
Big upgrade then! Makes sense the speed difference.

Wondering about their refund policy. If I grab a KVM VPS and it's not what I need, can I get my money back easily?

T Tom 1 month ago
I think they have a pretty standard refund window, something like 7 days after purchase. You should check their terms to be sure, but yeah, it's not like you're stuck forever.

A Amber 1 month ago
yeah returns were easy, did it last month for a different plan because I picked the wrong OS.

Hey guys, thinking about getting a Windows VPS for some dev work. How reliable is GreenCloud generally? Seen some mixed reviews.

D Daisy 1 month ago
I've been using their NVMe Windows VPS for like 6 months now, pretty solid. Had one small issue with a server reboot but support fixed it quick.
5
D David Hughes 1 month ago
Reliability has been decent for me. Way better than RackNerd I used before, those guys had outages all the time. GreenCloud's pretty stable in comparison.

Thinking of getting a Ryzen KVM VPS, but trying to decide between GreenCloud and Vultr. Anyone used both and have an opinion?

N Nina 2 months ago
Vultr is good, but for raw performance on a budget, GreenCloud often wins out, especially with their Ryzen stuff. Vultr can get pricey fast for similar specs. I find GreenCloud's support a bit more responsive too.
5
K Kevin 2 months ago
Depends what you need. If you want super-fine-tuned control and a huge ecosystem, Vultr might be better. But for just a powerful KVM, GreenCloud usually offers better bang for your buck. I use their 10Gbps VPS and it's super fast.

Does GreenCloud accept PayPal or is it just credit cards for payments?

S Sam 1 month ago
Yeah they do. I paid for my Linux VPS with PayPal last month, no problem.
2
B Brett 1 month ago
They take PayPal, credit cards, and I think even crypto if you're into that. Multiple options.
